E-government in local governments’ websites

The literature perceives governments’ websites as an effective tool for increasing information delivery, user interaction, and the government services’ supply, being most visible aspects of citizens concerning public management. However, interaction with governments is still unclear. practical implications conducting e-government, capable expanding this relationship, are invisible. This study aims to provide understanding how used e-government in local governments, highlighting concepts have been empirically employed. takes a qualitative approach, examining five municipalities microregion Brazilian state Bahia. We gathered data using triangulation process that included semi-structured interviews, analysis websites, opinion questionnaires citizens. Our research shows lack compelling actions coordinated internal procedures, resulting gap between practice digital governance policies, low citizens' participation, unfamiliarity communication channels. contributes by offering further insight into people organizations influence technology use, providing elements can guide motivated managers increase relationships society. highlight need investigate phenomenon transformation at organizational level.
